Turn that typical PB&J sandwich into some yummy french toast, topped with icing sugar and a pinch of cinnamon.
|8||Slices Dempster’s® Stays Fresh® White Bread|
|4 tbsp||(60 mL) Peanut butter|
|4 tbsp||(60 mL) Raspberry jam (or your favourite)|
|2 tbsp||to 3, (30-45 mL) Milk or cream|
|2 tbsp||to 3, (15-30 mL) Vegetable oil|
|Icing sugar for dusting|
SPREAD peanut butter and jam on each of four slices of bread. Top with remaining bread slices.
WHISK the eggs, milk and cinnamon together in a shallow baking dish.
HEAT oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Dip each sandwich into egg mixture, coating completely and place into the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown.
SERVE dusted with icing sugar.
Serve with fresh berries.
