Panini Grilled Chicken & Sweet Onion Cheese Sandwich

About this Recipe

The sweetness of the onion mingle well with the bacon, chicken breast and tomato.


2 slices Dempsters Whole Grain Multi-Grain bread
2 cheese slices
4 slices beafsteak tomato
3 strips Maple Leaf Ready Crisp bacon
2 lettuce leaves
3 slices of Maple Leaf Natural Selections Oven Roasted Chicken Breast
1/3 cup sweet onion - sliced thinly
2 tsp Dijon mustard
3 tsp butter
salt, pepper to taste


In a small non-stick skillet saute the thinly sliced sweet onion in 1 tsp. butter till soft. Set aside.

Pre-heat the panini grill.
- Spread dijon mustard on both inside slices of bread.
- On bottom slice add the cheese & tomato slices, salt & pepper to taste.
- Add the bacon slices and top with lettuce.
- Add 1/2 the sauteed sweet onion.
- Place chicken breast slices on top & the rest of the sauteed sweet onion.
- Top with the other slice of bread and butter the top.
- Place the buttered side of sandwich on panini grill and butter the top.
- Grill till browned and cheese has melted.
