Try this Oriental Turkey Pita recipe for a quick and delicious weekday lunch!
|1||(5.5 oz/156 g can) Maple Leaf® Flakes of Turkey (drained and flaked)|
|.5 cup||(125 mL) finely sliced celery|
|.5 cup||(125 mL) water chestnuts, drained and chopped|
|1||large orange, peeled, sectioned and chopped|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) reduced fat mayonnaise|
|1.5 tsp||(7 mL) teriyaki OR soya sauce|
|1||(5.12 oz/145 g) container alfalfa sproutss|
|2||Dempster's® /POM® pita pockets, 2 cut in half|
COMBINE turkey, celery, water chestnuts, orange, mayonnaise, and teriyaki sauce in a medium bowl.
LINE bottom of each pita half with alfalfa sprouts.
DIVIDE turkey mixture evenly between pita halves.
SPRINKLE more alfalfa sprouts on top of filling. Serve immediately.
