|3/4 cup||brown sugar|
|1/2 cup||white sugar|
|1 tsp||vanilla extract, the real kind|
|1/4 cup||whole wheat flour|
|1/2 cup||all-purpose flour|
|3/4 tsp||baking soda|
|1/2 tsp||kosher salt|
|3.25 cup||rolled oats|
1. Cream butter until light and beat in brown and white sugar. Add egg, water and vanilla and mix in.
2. In a large bowl combine flour with baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add rolled oats. Add raisins.
3. Shape into a log about 3-inch wide and 12-inch long. Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate a few hours. Slice thinly and place on parchment paper lined baking sheets. Bake in a preheated 350F oven 10 to 12 minutes or until browned. Cool on racks. Cookies should be crispy around the edges and chewy in the middle. 24 to 30 cookies.
