About this Recipe

The original recipe that was tweeted to me did not include the bacon. I thought that I'd up the awesomeness of these wonderful delights by adding bacon. Everything is better with bacon.

The original recipe also suggested that these be smoked in a smoker. I found indirect grilling worked just fine. These could also be done in oven.


12 Jalapeno peppers
12 slices Bacon
1 Pkg Cream Cheese, or Pre-shredded cheese, your choice of flavour
1 Pkg Italian, or Chorizo Sausage, casing removed


Preheat grill for indirect cooking, medium heat.
Cut tops off Jalapeno peppers, de-seed if desired.
Stuff pepper with your choice of cheese.
Take some sausage meat, form into flat patty, place pepper on patty. Work sausage meat around pepper, sealing sausage & encasing pepper entirely by sausage. Will take a few attempts but it can be done.
Wrap 'egg' with bacon slice.
Place eggs on BBQ for indirect cooking. Check after 30 - 40 minutes.
Will be hot - Enjoy!!


Not as hard to make as it sounds.
