This big juicy burger is fully loaded with flavour. Mozzarella cheese oozes from the inside of this red pepper beef burger . Smothered with Roasted red pepper mayo and sandwiched in a Deluxe sesame seed bun.
|1 lb||(450 g) Ground beef|
|½||Red pepper, finely choppe|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Worcestershire sauce|
|2 tsp||(10 mL) Dijon mustard|
|1||Clove garlic, minced|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Paprika|
|Salt and pepper|
|2 oz||(57 g) Mozzarella cheese, cut into four ½ inch (1 cm) cubes|
|4||Dempster’s® Deluxe Hamburger Buns|
|¼ cup||(60 mL) Melted butter|
|¼ cup||(60 mL) Ready prepared roasted red pepper dip|
|1-2 tbsp||(15-30 mL) Mayonnaise|
|½||Red onion, thinly sliced|
PREHEAT BBQ to medium-high. Lightly coat the grill with non-stick cooking spray.
COMBINE ground beef, red pepper, Worcestershire, Dijon, garlic, paprika, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Gently mix using your hands. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions. Place a cube of Mozzarella cheese in the middle of each portion and form burger patties around the cheese.
GRILL burger patties for 4-5 minutes per side or until nicely char grilled and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
BRUSH cut side of each bun with melted butter and place on the grill to toast for about 1 minute.
MIX together roasted red pepper dip and mayonnaise.
ASSEMBLE burgers by spreading red pepper mayo on bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, beef patty, red onion, tomato and remaining buns. Serve immediately.
