Ingredients

4 Schneiders® Country Naturals® Hot & Spicy Smoked Sausage or Schneiders® Country Naturals® Mild Smoke
2 cups (500 mL) Flour
1/2 tsp (2 mL) Salt
1/4 tsp (1 mL) Pepper
1/2 (125 mL) Baking powder
2 cups (500 mL) Milk
2 Eggs

Directions

PREHEAT a deep fryer to 350°F (180°C).

CUT sausages into 5 or 6 pieces.

WHISK together the remaining ingredients to form a batter. Insert a 2-3” (5-8 cm) wooden skewer into each piece of sausage; dip into the batter to coat and working in batches, place in the deep fryer for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve with assorted mustards or your favourite dipping sauce.
