This Classic Italian American Sandwich is full of hearty ingredients.
Serving several luncheon meats with veggies on a crusty bread.
It is usually made a day ahead and pressed/squished to make all the flavours blend. This works perfectly for parents who want to make sandwiches the night before to save time for School Rush Hour!
|2||slices Schneider's Oven Roasted Turkey Breast|
|3||slices Schneider's Deli Best Dry Salami|
|1||slice processed Cheese|
|1/2||roasted red pepper drained and patted dry|
|1||small pickle sliced into coins|
|1/2||leaf of lettuce|
|1||small crusty bun|
|10||chunks of carrots|
Spread the hummus on the bottom half of bun.
Spread the mayo on the top half.
Begin to layer the deli meats, alternating with cheese, pickles and red pepper.
Top with lettuce and press the sandwich or insert a skewer through the center.
If your child is home for lunch you can toast the bread before layering the ingredients.
