Light, airy puff pastry bites, with marinara, melted cheese and a meatball!
|1/2 lb||(397 g) Tenderflake® Frozen Puff Pastry|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) Ready prepared marinara sauce, divided|
|24||Schneiders® Fully Cooked Meatballs|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) Grated Mozzarella cheese|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Chopped fresh parsley|
PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190°C).
ROLL out puff pastry on a lightly floured work surface using a lightly floured rolling pin to a 10” (25 cm) square. Cut the pastry into 25 – 2” (5 cm) squares.
LINE two mini muffin pans with each square – you will end up with one extra square.
ADD ½ tsp (2 mL) marinara sauce to each and top with ½ tsp (2 mL) of Mozzarella cheese. Top with a frozen meatball and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown. Top each one with another ½ tsp (2 mL) of marinara and cheese. Broil on high for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese has melted on top. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
