About this Recipe

A non-traditional ingredient makes the perfect sauce for some tender and juicy Maple Leaf Prime® Boneless Pork Chops

Ingredients

1 Pkg Maple Leaf Prime® Portions Boneless Pork Loin Centre Cut Chops
300 g Dried Dates, pitted and diced
2 cups Red Wine
2 Onions, finely chopped
3 tbsp Honey
1/3 cups Raisins
1 pinch of Salt
1 pinch of Freshly Ground Pepper
3 Rosemary Leaves
1 tbsp Butter
1 tbsp Olive Oil

Directions

HEAT the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
ARRANGE the Maple Leaf Prime® Pork Chops in the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes each side keeping the centre pink.
REMOVE from pan and transfer to a baking dish.
MELT 1 Tbsp of butter on the same skillet and sweat the onions for about 2 minutes until translucent.
ADD the rest of the ingredients: red wine, dates, raisins, honey, rosemary, salt and pepper and cook at medium heat until liquid is reduced to about 1 cup.
SPOON sauce over pork chops, cover the baking dish and cook in the oven at 350F for 15 min or until pork internal temperature reaches 160F.
REMOVE from oven and let it sit 2 minutes before serving.
Enjoy!
