A maple french toast take on sticky buns.
|4||Dempster's� Maple French Toast bagels|
|3/4 cups||Firmly packed light brown sugar|
|3 tbsp||Maple Syrup|
|1 tbsp||Light corn syrup|
|1.5 cup||Chopped pecans|
In a 1-quart saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, maple syrup and corn syrup over low heat; stir until sugar and butter are melted. Set aside.
In a heavy frying pan melt butter. Whisk eggs together in a medium sized bowl.. Open bagels and dip insides into eggs. Make french toast with the bagels in the frying pan, (insides only). Remove bagels from frying pan and close them. Cut horizontal grooves into the bagels so the syrup topping will soak through.
Pour maple syrup topping on top of the bagels, and sprinkle with pecans.
