Let Chocolate & Bacon Lovers Unite!
These brownies are mouth wateringly moist with the perfect crust. That coupled with the maple flavor of smoky bacon makes this recipe divine!

Ingredients

1.5 cups Brownies - Unbleached All Purpose Flour
.75 cup Brownies - Pure Cocoa Powder
.5 tsp Brownies - Baking Powder
1 cup Brownies - Unsalted Butter
1 cup Brownies - Granulated Sugar
1 cup Brownies - Lightly Packed Brown Sugar
2 Brownies - Eggs at Room Temperature
2 tsp Brownies - Pure Vanilla Extract
.25 cup Maple Bacon - Packed Brown Sugar
2 tbsp Maple Bacon - Rice Vinegar
.25 cup Maple Bacon - Canadian Maple Syrup
1 lb Maple Bacon - Schneiders Country Naturals Bacon
1 tsp Maple Bacon - Sea Salt to Taste
3 Chocoloate Drizzle - Squares Semi-sweet Bakers Chocolate

Directions

Brownie Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Lightly butter and flour a 9 x 13” (23 x 33 cm) pan, shaking out excess flour.
Whisk flour, Pure Cocoa and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk remaining ingredients. Combine both mixes and pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 25 minutes. Cool, set aside.
Tip* You can make the brownies a day in advanced.

Maple Bacon Directions:
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
Mix brown sugar, rice vinegar, and maple syrup in a small bowl.
Place bacon slices on a metal oven safe cooling rack on a baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, turn slices, and bake another 5 minutes.
Remove bacon and brush both sides with brown sugar mixture. Return bacon to the oven and bake another 5 minutes. Repeat basting every 5 minutes until bacon is browned and crisp. (about 35 minutes total).
Once desired crispness is attained, remove from the oven, and top with ground sea salt.
Cool, Set aside.

Chocolate Drizzle Topping Directions:
Melt 3 Squares of Semi-Sweet Bakers Chocolate using a double boiler on top of stove at medium high heat stirring constantly until chocolate has melted.
If you do not have a double boiler melt squares in the microwave per package instructions in a microwave safe bowl. Chocolate will get very hot in the microwave so keep a close eye on it stirring at 15 second increments until melted.
Drizzle using the back of a spoon overtop cooled brownies.

Make it BACON time!
Immediately top chocolate drizzled brownies with crumbled Maple Candied Bacon & Sea Salt.
Cut, Serve & ENJOY!!!!!



Notes

Make this a "Team Sport" while you make the brownies, the bacon can be made on the BBQ! T'is always the season! Enjoy.

You can also cut into bite sized pieces before topping for a more dainty appearance, great for Christmas treat exchanges, potlucks, or your cocktail party! Cheers.
