Quick and easy pancakes with the addition of bacon to the mix
6 | Strips of Maple Leaf Hearty Slice Bacon |
¾ cup | Buttermilk |
2 tbsp | Maple Syrup |
1 tsp | Vanilla Extract |
1 | Egg |
2 tbsp | Melted Butter |
1 cup | All Purpose Flour |
1 tsp | Baking Powder |
½ tsp | Baking Soda |
CHOP the bacon into 1" pieces and fry until they are crispy
WHISK the buttermilk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, egg and melted butter.
ADD the flour, baking soda, and baking powder, and whisk
MIX in the crispy bacon and let it sit in the batter for 10 minutes
GREASE a pan with butter, and heat the pan on medium heat.
SCOOP the batter into quarter cup portions on the pan
FLIP the pancake when you see bubbles poke through the surface
STACK and serve
