Traditional mac & cheese made in non-traditional way.
|1 Pkg||elbow macaroni (approx 7oz)|
|.5 tsp||garlic powder|
|.5 tsp||dried mustard|
|2 cups||grated old cheddar cheese|
Boil and drain macaroni.
Melt butter in microwave.
Blend in flour + salt etc + stir in milk until smooth.
Microwave on high (10) for 5.5 to 6 minutes, stirring with fork every minute, until thickened.
Stir in cheese until completely melted.
Stir sauce into drained macaroni, mixing well.
Microwave at medium (7) for 7-10 minutes stirring after 4 minutes.
If desired, sprinkle top with paprika or buttered crumbs.
