Warm, exotic spices blended with ground meat, grilled and drizzled with refreshing tzatziki and served on a bun.
|1 lb||(454 g) Ground beef or lamb|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Cumin|
|1/2 tsp||(2 mL) Cinnamon|
|1/2 tsp||(2 mL) each Salt & Pepper|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Chopped fresh mint|
|6||Villaggio® Italian Style Sausage Buns|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Ready prepared tzatziki|
|6||Skewers for grilling|
PREHEAT the BBQ to medium-high.
GENTLY combine the first nine ingredients through to the chopped mint. Use your hands to mix then form the mixture into 30 meatballs approximately 1” (2.5 cm) in diameter.
PLACE five meatballs on each of the six skewers. Lightly grease your grill. Grill the meatball skewers for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally until evenly char-grilled and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
REMOVE the meatballs skewers from the grill and place inside the buns. Drizzle with tzatziki and top with your favourite toppings. Remove the skewers just before serving.
Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes prior to cooking to prevent burning.
Toast the buns.
