Spicy barbecue beans tossed with sliced wieners and sprinkled with grated cheddar cheese.
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Olive oil|
|1||(14 oz/398 mL) Can beans in tomato sauce|
|¼ cup||(60 mL) Ready prepared barbecue sauce|
|Dash of hot sauce|
|2 tsp||(10 mL) Worcestershire sauce|
|4||Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Wieners, cut into ½ “ (1 cm) pieces|
|4||Slices Dempsters® Smart® 16 Bread, toasted|
|¼ cup||(60 mL) Grated old Cheddar cheese (optional)|
HEAT oil in a saucepan over medium. Add onions and sauté for 3-5 minutes or until soft. Add beans, barbecue sauce, hot sauce, Worcestershire and wieners. Stir together and simmer for 4-5 minutes on low.
SPOON beans and wieners over toast and sprinkle with grated cheese. Serve immediately.
