Nobody will be able to resist these bacon-filled meatballs at your next party.
|1 Pkg||Maple Leaf Natural Selections Bacon, chopped|
|1/2||onion, roughly chopped|
|1 1/2 lbs||Maple Leaf Ground Pork|
|1/2 cup||breadcrumbs or crushed corn flakes|
|1||large egg, lightly beaten|
|3||cloves garlic, minced|
|2 tbsp||Dijon mustard|
|1 tbsp||Worcestershire sauce|
|2 tbsp||vegetable oil|
|1||bottle of Tomato sauce, heated|
|chopped fresh chives for topping|
Pulse the bacon and onion in a food processor until finely chopped.
Transfer to a bowl and add the pork, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, 3/4 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper; mix until just combined.
Dampen your hands and form into about 48 meatballs, (approximately 1 inch each)
Once meatballs are formed, heat the vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
Working in batches, add the meatballs to the skillet and cook, turning, until browned, about 3-4 minutes each.
After being browned, place meatballs in 375 degree oven for 12-14 minutes.
Serve with tomato sauce.
