The mango salsa cools the spicy jerk flavours in the chicken. A perfect fusion of flavours.


1 tbsp (15 mL) Olive oil
1 lb (454 g) Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Ground Chicken
¼ cup (60 mL) Prepared jerk sauce
10 Hard shell tacos
2 tbsp (30 mL) Chopped green onions
1 cup (250 mL) Sour cream
1 Ripe mango, diced
1 cup (250 mL) Cherry tomatoes, diced
½ Small red onion, diced
1 tbsp (15 mL) Lime juice
1 tbsp (15 mL) Honey
1 tbsp (15 mL) Olive oil
1 tsp (5 mL) Cumin
½ tsp (2 mL) Cinnamon
Salt and pepper


MIX together all of the ingredients for the salsa in a medium bowl and set aside.

HEAT olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Cook chicken for 8-10 minutes breaking apart with the back of a wooden spoon. Add jerk sauce and stir to combine.

WARM taco shells according to the package directions.

ASSEMBLE tacos by dividing the meat mixture between all 10 shells. Top with mango salsa and garnish with green onions and sour cream if desired.

SERVE with plantain chips and lime wedges.


Substitute Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Ground Turkey for Chicken.
There are different brands of jerk sauce or paste in the ethnic section of your supermarket. Spice levels will vary from hot to extra hot.
