Spicy, cheesy, and filling-- this makes the perfect quick snack when you want something filling and delicious!
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Mayonnaise|
|3/4 cup||(175 mL) Grated White Cheddar cheese|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Brine of pickled jalapeno peppers|
|Salt and pepper|
|4||Slices Villaggio® Original Thick Sliced Italian Style White Bread|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Chopped pickled jalapeno peppers|
|Pinch of Cajun seasoning|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Melted butter|
PREHEAT broiler to high. Mix mayonnaise, cheese, brine, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Brush slices of bread with melted butter on both sides. Place bread on a baking sheet and toast under the broiler on both sides.
Spread cheese mixture on toasted bread, sprinkle with the chopped jalapeno peppers and Cajun seasoning. Broil until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve as a side dish to weeknight dinners or as a snack.
