Parmesan, prosciutto and provolone complete these perfect Italian-style turkey melts.
|6||Thin slices of lemon|
|1||Package Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Turkey Slices|
|1/2 tsp||(2 mL) Italian seasoning|
|1/2 tsp||(2 mL) Garlic powder|
|Salt and pepper|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Olive oil|
|1||Tomato, thinly sliced|
|3||Slices Provolone cheese, cut in half|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Grated Parmesan cheese|
PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190°C).
LAY slices of lemon on a baking sheet. Top each of two slices of lemon with a turkey slice. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the internal temperature has reached 165°F (74°C).
MEANWHILE, lay prosciutto on a non-stick baking sheet and bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes or until crisp. Remove and set aside.
REMOVE pan with cooked turkey slices from oven and preheat broiler to high.
TOP each turkey slice with 2 slices of tomato 1 slice of Provolone and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Broil for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
REMOVE turkey slices from the pan, discarding lemon slices. Place a turkey slice on top of each slice of prosciutto and serve immediately.
