Fresh Mozzarella is a soft, rich and creamy cheese, perfect for the sandwich.
|1||Package Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Thin Sliced Chicken Breasts|
|2||Cloves garlic, minced|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Lemon juice|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Olive oil|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Italian seasoning|
|Salt and pepper|
|8||Slices Dempster’s® Rye Bread|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Olive oil|
|8||Large pieces green leaf lettuce|
|.5 lb||(250 g) Fresh Mozzarella, sliced|
PLACE chicken in a large re-sealable plastic bag.
MIX together garlic, lemon juice, oil, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Pour over chicken, seal bag and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
PREHEAT BBQ to medium-high.
GREASE grill and cook chicken for 4-5 minutes per side or until chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
BRUSH each slice of bread with oil, place on grill and lightly toast.
PLACE 2 pieces of lettuce on 4 slices of bread, top with chicken, cheese and remaining slices of bread to form sandwiches.
