Ciao! A grown-up cheeseburger, with grown up toppings all around, but you don’t have to be grown-up to love this combination.
|1 lb||(454 g) Medium ground beef|
|3||Cloves garlic, minced|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Chopped parsley|
|3/4 cup||(175 mL) Freshly grated Parmesan cheese|
|4||Slices Mozzarella or Provolone cheese|
|4||Slices Schneiders® Country Naturals® Salami|
|4||Dempster’s® Gluten Zero™ Hamburger Buns, lightly toasted|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Chopped fresh basil (or pesto)|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Mayonnaise|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) Arugula or 4 leaves lettuce|
USING your hands, gently mix beef, garlic, parsley and Parmesan cheese. Form into 4 patties and set aside.
PREHEAT grill to medium. Lightly coat the grill with non-stick cooking spray. Cook the burger for 5-7 minutes per side. Top with a slice of cheese. Grill the salami for about 30 seconds per side and place on top of the burger.
MIX basil or pesto and mayonnaise. Spread the mixture over each bun. Top with a burger with cheese and salami followed by tomato slices, arugula or lettuce. Sandwich with the top of the bun and serve.
