This is the perfect BBQ dish to make during the summer months. Quick, easy and tasty, everyone will LOVE them!
|1 Pkg||(4) Schneiders® Chicken Smoked Sausages, Italian|
|20||medium raw prawns, peeled, tails left on|
|1 tbsp||sea salt|
|1 tbsp||freshly ground white pepper|
|2 tbsp||oil for the bbq grills or non stick spray|
|.5 cup||bbq sauce|
|1 tbsp||finely chopped fresh parsley|
Soak bamboo skewers in cold water for at least 15 minutes.
Turn bbq on to med-high. Brush grills with oil. Grill 4 sausages until done, approx. 5 - 6 minutes. Turn frequently.
After they cool a little, slice into 5 pieces each. (20 pieces total)
Thread bamboo skewers carefully, applying an end of a prawn, sausage slice and the other end of the prawn, You want the sausage slice to be in between of the prawn. The prawn should look like it is hugging the chicken sausage slice) Apply again until you have 3 of each total on a skewer. Repeat until you have used up all prawns and sausage slices. You will have 7 skewers total. One will only have 2 prawns and 2 slices of sausage. Season with salt and pepper.
Oil the bbq again so nothing sticks, turn on to medium-high. Place all of the skewers on the bbq, you should here them sizzle. Brush both sides with bbq sauce and grill, turn frequently. Grill until the prawns are cooked. 2-3 minutes max. Sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve.
Serve as an appetizer or as a main with salad or rice and crusty white bread.
