My husband had his sausage fully loaded as seen in the picture and ate his with a knife and fork. I had mine with less vegetables and ate it as a hot dog with my hands.


3 Italian sausages
2 Villaggio Italian Style Sausage Buns
1 Onion
.5 Green pepper
.5 Red pepper
2 tbsp Italian salad dressing
2 tbsp Butter
1 Tomato diced


Boil sausages for 10 minutes. While sausages are boiling, cut up the peppers and onion and place on tin foil with 2 tbsp of butter. Wrap up this mixture with the folded part on top. Heat BBQ on low setting. When the sausages are boiled split them in half lengthwise. Set on BBQ and at the same time, put the pepper and onion mixture on as well. The sausages should be flipped every few minutes so as not to burn. Open up the mixture in tin foil and stir it around after 10 minutes. Can check on it every so often to make sure it doesn't burn. While cooking, dice the tomato and add the Italian salad dressing and stir (set aside). Once everything on the BBQ is cooked(approximately 25 minutes), remove and put 2 buns(opened) on the BBQ for a couple of minutes to brown them. Put a sausage on each bun and then cut the remaining sausages in half width wise. Add a half to each bun to fill the length of both buns. Top up the sausage and buns with desired amount of mixture and tomatoes.
