Rich, creamy aioli with juicy Italian sausage. Tender crisp grilled vegetables and the nutty sweet flavour of Provolone cheese.
|1||Red pepper, quartered|
|1||Yellow pepper, quartered|
|1||Small red onion, cut into thick slices|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Olive oil|
|4||Salt Villaggio® Italian Style Sausage Bunsand pepper|
|4||Slices Provolone cheese, cut in halves|
WHISK together all of the ingredients for aioli. Refrigerate until ready to use.
PREHEAT BBQ to medium-high. Lightly coat the grill with non-stick cooking spray. Grill sausages, turning frequently for about 20 minutes or until evenly char-grilled and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
MEANWHILE toss the pepper and onion in olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Grill vegetables for about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the grill and roughly chop.
ASSEMBLE the sausage buns by placing a sausage in each bun, top with cheese, grilled vegetables and a drizzle of aioli.
