About this Recipe

Rich, creamy aioli with juicy Italian sausage. Tender crisp grilled vegetables and the nutty sweet flavour of Provolone cheese.


4 Oktoberfest Grill'ems
1 Red pepper, quartered
1 Yellow pepper, quartered
1 Small red onion, cut into thick slices
2 tbsp (30 mL) Olive oil
4 Salt Villaggio® Italian Style Sausage Bunsand pepper
4 Slices Provolone cheese, cut in halves


WHISK together all of the ingredients for aioli. Refrigerate until ready to use.

PREHEAT BBQ to medium-high. Lightly coat the grill with non-stick cooking spray. Grill sausages, turning frequently for about 20 minutes or until evenly char-grilled and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

MEANWHILE toss the pepper and onion in olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Grill vegetables for about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the grill and roughly chop.

ASSEMBLE the sausage buns by placing a sausage in each bun, top with cheese, grilled vegetables and a drizzle of aioli.
