This is a rustic presentation of an easy and delicious one-dish meal. Great for busy weeknights!


1 tbsp (15 mL) Olive oil
1 tbsp (15 mL) Garlic, minced
1 tsp (5 mL) Chili flakes
3 Small peppers, cut into strips
1 Small red onion, cut into strips
1 (300 g) Package (4 pieces) Schneiders® Chicken Smoked Sausage, Italian, cut in half
1/4 cup (60 mL) Chicken stock
1 cup (250 mL) Canned white beans, rinsed and drained
Salt and pepper
1/2 tsp (2 mL) Chopped fresh oregano
1/4 cup (60 mL) Grated Parmesan cheese


HEAT oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Sauté garlic, chili flakes, peppers and onion for 3-4 minutes or until soft and beginning to brown.

ADD sausage and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes. Add chicken stock and toss in beans; stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper.

GARNISH with fresh oregano and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
