Turn basic to amazing with this Indian inspired turkey recipe. The warm scent of these Indian spices will be beckoning you to the table!
2 | large Maple Leaf® Prime® Turkey thighs, deboned |
1 | green chili, minced |
1 tbsp | garam masala |
1 tbsp | cumin |
2 tsp | turmeric |
1 1/2 | plain greek yogurt |
3 tbsp | tomato paste |
Juice 1 lime | |
1/2 tbsp | salt |
1 tsp | pepper |
2 | cloves garlic, minced |
Place turkey thighs in a large re sealable bag. Add all remaining ingredients and massage into the meat until well coated and ingredients are combined. Allow to marinate in refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Place turkey thighs skin side down on a parchment lined baking sheet. Spoon any remaining marinade over exposed thigh. Using butchers twine, tightly truss thighs and place skin side up. Bake for 45 minutes or until an internal temperature of 165 degrees is reached. Remove from oven and allow to rest under loosely tented foil. Remove twine and slice.
Serve with basmati rice.
