Hot chicken sandwich is a popular weekly dinner in Quebec. It contains cooked chicken piled on bread and typically served with peas and fries and covered in gravy.

Ingredients

1 lb Maple Leaf prime chicken
2 Hamburger buns
1 cup Peas
1 can Hot sandwich gravy
.5 Pkg French fries

Directions

Bake the chicken in the oven for 45 minutes at 400 F. Take out the chicken when done and put fries in for 20 minutes turning once after 10 minutes. While the fries are cooking, heat up the gravy and cook the peas. Then cut up the chicken into bite sized pieces. When fries are done, put the chicken on the bottom bun and then put the top bun on. Put the fries on the plate and generously cover both with gravy. Sprinkle some peas on top.
