Hot Chicken Poutine Sandwich

Hot chicken sandwiches with crispy fries, rich gravy and gooey cheese curds. What's not to love?

Ingredients

1 Pkg frozen french fries
2 cups you favourite gravy
1 tbsp water, to thin gravy if needed
1 rotisserie chicken, cut into slices
4 slices Dempster's white or whole wheat bread
1 Pkg white cheddar cheese curds (200g)
black pepper, to taste

Directions

1. Fry or bake fries as directed on package and set aside.
2. Meanwhile, heat gravy in a skillet until bubbling. If it's too thick, add a bit of water.
3. Add the chicken to the skillet and heat on medium-low until completely warmed through.
4. While the chicken is warming, toast 4 slices of bread and set aside.
5. Add cheese curds to the gravy right before serving.
6. Spoon the gravy mixture over the toast and top with french fries. Add a few spoonfuls of the gravy mixture over the fries.
7. Season with black pepper and serve immediately.
