This unique take on a hot dog will have you experimenting all summer! Flavoured ranch dressing and crunch onion straws elevate this hot dog to picnic winner status!
|1 Pkg||Maple Leaf® Canadian CraftTM Montreal Style Smoked Meat Wieners|
|5||hot dog buns, split|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) prepared crunchy onion straws|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) multi colored gem cherry tomatoes, quartered|
|1 cup||(250 mL) provolone cheese, grated|
|1 cup||(250 mL) prepared ranch dressing|
|1 1/2 tbsp||(22.5 mL) prepared horseradish|
|1 1/2 tbsp||(22.5 mL) freshly cracked black pepper|
In a small bowl combine ranch dressing, horseradish and pepper.
Stir to combine and set aside. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
Place hot dogs into water and reduce heat to a simmer.
Cook hot dogs 4 to 5 minutes or until an internal temperature of 165 degrees is reached.
Remove onto a paper towel lined plate.
Assemble hot dog by dividing cheese between buns followed by hot dogs.
Top with tomatoes and onion straws.
Drizzle with dressing.
Alternatively BBQ hot dogs and buns. Serve with a side of pretzels!
