This recipe brings together a harmony of flavours to form a great tasting dish.
|1||Rack Maple Leaf Prime® Pork St. Louis Side Ribs|
|Salt and Pepper|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) Hoisin Sauce|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) Honey|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Hot chili garlic sauce|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Sesame oil|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Dijon mustard|
|2||Green onions, finely chopped|
|.5 tsp||(2 mL) Sesame seeds|
PREHEAT oven to 325°F (160°C).
REMOVE membrane from the back of the ribs by gently pulling and peeling it off. Cut ribs into single bone portions and place in a shallow baking dish. Season with salt and pepper and add ½ cup (125 mL) of water to the pan. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 2 hours or until tender. Remove ribs from the cooking liquid and set aside.
WHISK together hoisin sauce, honey, chili garlic sauce, sesame oil and mustard in a small bowl.
PREHEAT broiler to medium-high. Arrange the ribs on a baking sheet and brush liberally with sauce. Turn and baste occasionally until golden brown.
PREHEAT BBQ to medium-high. Lightly coat the grill with non-stick cooking spray. Place ribs on the grill and brush liberally with sauce, turning and basting until ribs are golden brown and caramelized.
SPRINKLE ribs with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
