About this Recipe

Sweet and sticky honey garlic chicken. Slow roasted in the oven. A family favourite prepared with ease.


1 Package Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Chicken Thighs
1 Package Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Chicken Drumsticks
.5 cup (125 mL) Honey
2 Cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp (10 mL) Freshly grated ginger root
.5 cup (125 mL) Soy sauce
½ cup (125 mL) Balsamic vinegar
1 tsp (5 mL) Chili flakes
1 tsp (5 mL) Sesame oil
3 tbsp (45 mL) Vegetable oil


COMBINE all ingredients in a large re-sealable plastic bag. Massage marinade into chicken and marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

REMOVE chicken from marinade and discard excess marinade. Place chicken onto prepared baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and the internal temperature of chicken reaches 185°F (85°C).
