Sweet and sticky honey garlic chicken. Slow roasted in the oven. A family favourite prepared with ease.
|1||Package Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Chicken Thighs|
|1||Package Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Chicken Drumsticks|
|.5 cup||(125 mL) Honey|
|2||Cloves garlic, minced|
|2 tsp||(10 mL) Freshly grated ginger root|
|.5 cup||(125 mL) Soy sauce|
|½ cup||(125 mL) Balsamic vinegar|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Chili flakes|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Sesame oil|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) Vegetable oil|
COMBINE all ingredients in a large re-sealable plastic bag. Massage marinade into chicken and marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
REMOVE chicken from marinade and discard excess marinade. Place chicken onto prepared baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and the internal temperature of chicken reaches 185°F (85°C).
