Delectably crunchy croutons that will go perfectly as a before-meal snack or in a salad!
|6||Slices Villaggio® Original Thick Sliced Italian Style White Bread, cut into 1” (2.5 cm) cubes|
|1/4-1/3 cup||(60-80 mL) Olive oil|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Garlic powder|
|1/2 tsp||(2 mL) Dried basil|
|1/2 tsp||(2 mL) Dried thyme|
|1/2 tsp||(2 mL) Dried oregano|
|1/2 tsp||(2 mL) Salt|
|1/2 tsp||(2 mL) Fresh ground black pepper|
PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190°C).
PLACE bread cubes in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil and toss together. Add seasonings and toss again to coat. Spread on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crisp. Remove from oven and set aside to cool.
Store in an airtight container for 2-3 days
