This may seem like a lot of work, but it is really so simple and worth it!
**Updated - I have started caramelizing a onion as the first step, I love not only the added flavour but the difference in texture.
|3 can||Crushed Tomato (796 ML)|
|1/4 cup||Cider vinager|
|10||Roasted Garlic Cloves|
|1 tsp||Mustard powder|
|1 tsp||Dry thyme|
|2 tbsp||Onion powder|
|1 tsp||Smoked paprika|
|1/2 tsp||Chipotle Powder|
|1 tsp||Black Pepper|
|1||Sweet Onion - Diced|
|1 tbsp||Canola Oil|
Saute Onion in large pot of low heat until golden brown.
Add all remaining ingredients except the salt in a large pot and simmer for 45 minutes.
Puree mixture with a hand blender or blender until smooth.
Taste and adjust salt as needed.
