The tasty and wholesome Dempster's Whole Grains Ancient Grain's Bread with Quinoa really makes this grilled cheese sandwich a must try. It is generously stuffed with Maple Leaf's natural selections shaved hickory smoked turkey, sauteed mushrooms,fresh Arugula lettuce and lots of melted Swiss cheese...yumm!
|2||slices Dempster's Whole Grains Ancient Grains Bread with Quinoa|
|2 tbsp||soft butter-for bread|
|60 g||Maple Leaf's natural selections shaved hickory smoked turkey|
|4||medium button mushrooms|
|1 tbsp||butter-for mushrooms|
|1 tsp||olive oil-for mushrooms|
|1||pinch of black pepper-for mushrooms|
|1 tsp||Worcestershire sauce-for mushrooms|
|4||slices Swiss cheese|
|1 bunch||Arugula leaves|
|1 tbsp||butter for skillet|
Butter bread slices on one side each. Chop mushrooms. Heat up a skillet, add butter, oil, swirl to coat pan, add mushrooms, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until golden, set aside. Build the sandwich. 1 slice bread, butter side up, Arugula lettuce, turkey slices, mushrooms, cheese and top bread slice, buttered side down. Reheat same pan and add 1 Tbsp butter, melt, swirl to coat pan. Gently add sandwich, grill on both sides until golden and cheese melts. Plate and slice. Bonn Appetit!
I never added any salt to my recipe as there is salt in the butter and cheese, but add if you desire.
