This is a very healthy way to make a quick and delicious garlic bread, suitable for even the healthiest eaters!
|4||slices Villaggio Whole Wheat bread|
|1/3 cup||extra virgin olive oil|
|2 tsp||minced garlic|
|1/8 tsp||garlic powder|
|4 tbsp||shredded low fat italian blend cheese|
Pre-heat oven to 425.
In a bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic, pepper, garlic powder and a pinch of salt (salt is optional- not recommended for low sodium diets).
Place bread on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Using a basting brush, cover the side of the bread facing away from the pan. Top each slice of bread with 1 tbsp. of cheese.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bread is toasted.
