Keeping pasta dinners healthy, choose Lean Proteins Like Maple Leaf Prime Naturally Extra Lean Ground Turkey, pay attention to portions when serving pasta, add fresh vegetables and a green salad as a side to help fill you up.

Ingredients

1 lb Maple Leaf Prime Naturally Extra Lean Ground Turkey with Rosemary Extract.
1 bunch Fresh basil
8 oz Sliced mushrooms
1 Small onion
1 Clove crushed fresh garlic
1 Jar of your favourite sapaghetti sauce - tomato basil flavor
1 can Diced tomatoes
1 cup Cherry tomatoes, cut in half
0.5 cups Diced red/greeen or yellow pepper
1 Box of pasta (Whole-wheat is healthiest)
0.5 cups Grated mozzarella cheese

Directions

Chop onion, garlic and mushrooms into small pieces and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Add ground turkey and cook until brown, season with dried Italian seasoning.
Add canned diced tomatoes, spaghetti sauce and chopped fresh basil.
Simmer over low heat for 15 to 30 minutes.
Chop cherry tomatoes and pepper and add to pan.
Boil noodles according to box instructions.
Spoon sauce over noodles and garnish with a just a little mozzarella cheese.
