This stuffing recipe screams fall. Comforting and familiar, this recipe will become a family classic.
|1 oz||Schneiders Country Naturals Mild Italian Sausage, casing removed|
|2||ribs celery, diced|
|1 cup||toasted pecan, roughly chopped|
|1||apple, cored and diced|
|1 1/2 tsp||dried sage|
|2 cups||wild rice, prepared|
|1/4 cup||parsley, chopped|
|Salt and pepper|
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Cook sausage breaking apart with the back of a wooden spoon about 6 to 7 minutes. Add shallots and cook for 2 minutes longer stirring often. Add apples, sage and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2 more minutes and add in rice and parsley. Stir to heat through about 6 to 7 minutes.
Try serving in mini individual hollowed out pumpkins
