1 tbsp (15 mL) Vegetable oil
1 Small onion, finely chopped
2 Cloves garlic, minced
1 Maple Leaf® Ham Steak, diced
1 (19 oz) Can mixed beans, drained and rinsed
1 1/2 cups (375 mL) Ketchup
3 tbsp (45 mL) Brown sugar
1 tsp (5 mL) Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp (2 mL) Mustard powder
6 Slices Villaggio® Original Thick Sliced Italian Style White Bread, toasted


HEAT oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onions and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add ham and cook for another minute. Stir in beans, ketchup, sugar, Worcestershire sauce and mustard powder. Allow the mixture to simmer for 3-5 minutes. Serve over toasted bread.
