This tried-and-true ham and pineapple combination is delicious and so easy to make.
|2||Maple Leaf Ham slices|
|1 can||Sliced pineapple can of|
|2 cups||Rice (fast cooking)|
|1 tbsp||Corn starch|
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add salt and 1 tsp of butter and stir in the rice. Cover and set aside. Put peas in the microwave and set for 5 minutes. Drain pineapple juice from the can. Mix corn starch, pineapple juice and sugar together. Bring to a boil stirring frequently. Reduce heat and continue stirring the sauce until thickened. Put a dab of butter on a pan and heat on medium until it melts. Then place the slices of ham beside each other on the pan. Fry until brown on both sides. When ham is done, put rice on a plate and place the ham on top. Put a couple of pineapple slices on the ham and pour the sauce over it. Add peas.
