About this Recipe

These ground up smoked ham and pork meatballs can make for a tasty meal in its own right. Add in the perfect sweet chili bbq sauce for dipping, along with your favourite veggies, and you've got an instant family favourite.

1 lb (454 g) Schneiders® Country Naturals® Smoked Ham
1 lb (454 g) Ground pork
.5 cup (125 mL) Breadcrumbs
1 tsp (5 mL) Salt
.125 tsp (.5 mL) pepper
.75 cup (175 mL) Milk
.75 cup (175 mL) Brown sugar
1 tsp (5 mL) Dry mustard powder
.25 cup (60 mL) Vinegar
.25 cup (60 mL) Water
Pinch of chili flakes

PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190°C).

PLACE ham in food processor and pulse until evenly ground. Transfer to a bowl and combine with ground pork, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper and milk. Form into 2” (5 cm) meatballs. Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

MIX together the remaining ingredients in a small saucepan. Place over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until all of the sugar has dissolved, about 3-4 minutes.

DRIZZLE meatballs with BBQ sauce and serve.

Serve with your favourite vegetables and a side dish.
