Ham, Swiss, and Mushrooms were meant to be together. This hot sandwich is a real treat!
|12||slices of Maple Leaf Ham|
|1 cup||sliced and washed mushrooms|
|2||slices swiss cheese|
|2 tbsp||light mayonnaise|
|1 tsp||olive oil|
|1 tsp||salted butter|
In a small pan, heat butter and oil over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms, and sautee until soft (about 7 minutes).
Slice the onion bun in half. Top each bun with 6 slices of ham, followed by half of the mushrooms and then a slice of cheese. Spread 1 tbsp. of mayonnaise on each sandwich.
Serve warm, so that the cheese melts beautifully over the mushrooms.
