About this Recipe

These scones are so delicious! They melt in your mouth. They are Crispy on the outside, soft and flaky on the inside. They would be an amazing addition to your Sunday Brunch menu.

1.5 cups smoked Ham, diced
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1.5 cups shredded cheese (cheddar)
3/4 cups green onions, chopped
5 tbsp butter, cubed
2/3 cup heavy cream

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Whisk to combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
With your hands, work the butter cubes into the dry mixture until you get pea sized pieces of butter coated with flour. Then add the cheddar, scallions, and bacon.
Mix in the heavy cream.
Using your hands, gently mix together (keep in mind not to over mix). The dough will be a little crumbly but should press together well.Turn the dough out onto your counter top, and use your fingers to press it into a disc, pat down to about 3/4 inch thickness and then cut into 8 pieces (like a cake).
Bake for 20 to 22 minutes, until the edges are crisp but the interior is still moist. Then Enjoy!
