Use Dempster's® Smart™ White Bread, made with 16 Whole Grains, and Maple Leaf® Cooked Ham Chunks for a perfect brunch strata
|10- 12 slices Dempster's® SmartTM White Bread made with 16 Whole Grains|
|2||(5.5 oz/156 g) cans Maple Leaf® Cooked Ham Chunks (drained)|
|2 cups||(500 mL) chopped fresh broccoli, cooked and drained|
|3 cups||(750 mL) grated cheddar cheese|
|2.5 cups||(625 mL) 2% milk|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) dijon mustard|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) Worcestershire sauce|
|.25 tsp||(1 mL) black pepper|
PLACE 5-6 slices of bread on the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch (3.5 L) baking dish, cutting the bread if necessary.
SPRINKLE 1 can of ham chunks, half the broccoli and cheese over bread. Repeat with second layer.
BEAT eggs, milk, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and pepper in a large bowl. Pour egg mixture evenly over the bread. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
PREHEAT oven to 350°F (180°C).
BAKE strata uncovered in preheated oven for approximately 60 minutes or until egg mixture is set in centre. Let stand for 5 minutes, cut into squares.
