Spicy horseradish cuts through the richness of strip loin steaks to create a balanced sandwich.
|1 Pkg||Dempster’s® Rustic Hamburger Buns (6) / Ben’s® Rustic Hamburger Buns (6)|
|1 1/2 - 1 3/4 lbs||(680 g to 795 g) strip loin steaks, about 3/4-inch thick (about 3)|
|6||slices Gruyere cheese|
|1/3 cup||(75 mL) prepared creamy horseradish sauce|
Preheat grill to medium-high heat; grease grate well. Grill steaks for 4 to 5 minutes for medium rare steak or cook to preferred doneness. Let rest for 10 minutes. Thinly slice steak.
Grill buns for 30 to 60 seconds, or until toasted. Assemble steak slices, cheese slices, horseradish sauce, and pickle slices in buns.
If serving for less people, divide accordingly.
Season steak with your favourite steak spice before grilling or simply season with salt and pepper.
