About this Recipe

The creaminess of Canadian Oka cheese melted with the sautéed kale along with the crunchiness of the Quinoa bread makes this a healthy and tasty sandwich to enjoy.


2 slices of Dempster's Whole Grains Quinoa bread
1 1/2 cups chopped kale leaves, loosely packed
2 slices of Canadian Oka cheese
1 tbsp butter


1. Lightly toast the bread until a hint of brown shows. Place the cheese on one toast and place in a toaster oven and bake until the cheese has melted for about 2 minutes.
2. In a small fry pan, heat butter and add the chopped kale leaves. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until wilted and the vibrant dark green colour shows.
3. Place the kale on top of the other toast and put in the toaster oven until the bottom crust and colour forms. Sandwich both halves together and slice in half.
