Grilled Fried Bologna Sandwich

Forget about the same old grilled cheese. This tasty fried Bologna sandwich is sure to comfort your stomach and soul. So easy to make too.

Ingredients

2 slices of Dempster's Whole Grain Bread
4 slices of Schneider's Bologna
1 egg
2 slices of cheddar cheese
4 tbsp Mayonnaise
1 tsp butter
1 pinch salt
1 pinch ground black pepper

Directions

Spread the top of the first piece of bread with 1/4 of the mayonnaise. Fry the bologna in a fry pan with 1 tsp of butter until fried on each side. Pile the bologna slices on top of the bread slice. Fry a whole egg in the same fry pan until cooked. You shouldn't need any butter for this. Place the fried egg on top of the fried bologna. Place the cheese slices on top of the egg. Add salt and pepper. Spread 1/4 of the mayonnaise on second piece of bread. Top the sandwich with it, mayonnaise side down. Spread 1/4 of the mayonnaise on top of the bread slice and place in fry pan, mayonnaise side down. Fry until golden. Spread the last of the mayonnaise on the top slice of bread. Flip sandwich carefully. Fry until golden. The cheese should be melted. Cut into 1/4's, stack and hold together with a wooden skewer. Garnish with a pickle and dot the plate with hot sauce if you like. Enjoy!
