About this Recipe

Made with kale and oozing of cheddar cheese, this omelette is stuffed with the sweetness of Maple Leaf Country Kitchen ham. When you try this green eggs and ham, you will also like them everywhere just like Sam.

Ingredients

3 slices of Maple Leaf Country Kitchen ham
3 eggs
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 large kale leaves only, chopped
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp water
black pepper

Directions

Wash and chop kale finely. In a frying pan, heat 1 tbsp. of butter and add the kale. Stir until they start to wilt. Add 1 tbsp. of water and stir fry to cook until the kale is cooked but still green for about 4 minutes.

Whisk eggs in a bowl. Add a pinch of pepper and the cooked kale into egg mixture to combine together. In the same frying pan, heat the other tbsp. of butter on medium high. Carefully place the kale egg mixture into the pan to coat entire surface area. Cook on low for about 3 minutes until the egg is just beginning to set on top but still jiggly. Place the cheese on one half of omelette followed by layering the ham slices on top of the cheese. Gently, flip one half of the omelette over to cover the ham and cook for about 2 minutes on low heat until the cheese has melted. Serve with buttered toasts. Enjoy, and you too will say: "I do so like Green Eggs and Ham!"
