Delicious Bacon Pesto Recipe


1 Handful of Basil Leaves
2 Strips of Maple Leaf Bacon
3 Cloves of Garlic
¼ cup Pine Nuts
¼ cup Olive Oil
½ cup Freshly Grated Parmigiano Reggiano
½ lb Gnocchi


TOSS pine nuts into a pan, turn up the heat, and keep them moving in the pan. Once there is an aroma, take pine nuts and place onto a cool dish

LAY down the strips of bacon in the pan

MIX the basil, garlic and toasted pine nuts on a chopping board]

CHOP the mix until it is fine

CHOP up the cooked bacon into fine pieces

MIX the pesto mix, bacon and parmigiano reggiano in a large bowl. Add the olive oil and mix together

COOK the gnocchi in salted boiling water. In a warm pan, mix together a couple table spoons of the pesto along with the cooked gnocchi.

SERVE with some freshly grated parmigiano reggiano and a drizzling of olive oil
