This fresh and delicious skillet meal is packed with flavour and easy to make!
|2||175 gr Schneiders® Old Fashioned Smoked Ham Steaks, cut into strips|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) olive oil|
|1 cup||(250 mL) Cipollini onions|
|1||pint cherry tomato|
|1||small zucchini, chopped|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) garlic, minced|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) chicken broth|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) chili flakes|
|1 tsp||(5 mL) onion powder|
BRING a large pot of salted water to a boil.
COOK gnocchi to pkg direction.
DRAIN and set aside.
HEAT oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
COOK ham until starting to brown about 3 to 4 minutes.
ADD onion and cherry tomatoes, cook 3 to 4 minutes longer until tomatoes start to blister and onions brown and soften.
ADD garlic, chili flakes and seasonings and zucchini.
STIR for 2 to 3 minutes more.
POUR in chicken broth and add gnocchi to skillet.
TOSS well to coat.
SPRINKLE with a little cheese and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
Try drizzling a little good quality olive oil over top.
